Journalist Robert Papa says that the former American president, Donald Trump, should not have announced his candidacy to return to the White House yesterday, as the process of counting votes for the mid-term elections has not yet been completed.
In an interview for Euronews Albania, Papa said that with the takeover of Congress by the Republicans, President Joe Biden will be kept under control by the American center-right.
“The problem is that he should not have declared his desire to return to the White House before the counting of votes was finished, even more so when it is a runoff for the Senate. But yesterday he said, we won and we kicked out Nancy Pelosi.” – he said.
Former President Donald Trump announced Tuesday night that he will seek the Republican presidential nomination in 2024.
“To make America great again, I am tonight announcing my candidacy for president of the United States,” Trump told the crowd at Mar-a-Lago, his Florida waterfront estate, where he will be his campaign headquarters.
Trump asserted that the Republican party cannot afford to nominate “a conventional politician or candidate” if they wants to win back the White House.
