The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, said that he is proud that the people elected him for the third time in this post.
“I am proud of all those who were willing to vote for the continuity policy that reflects the struggle for stability and peace, which will be the main policy of Srpska in the future,” Dodik wrote on Twitter.
He was first elected as the President of Republika Srpska in 2010 and in the next elections in 2014 he retained that post. In the general elections of 2018, he ran for the Serbian member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and this year he again participated in the elections for the president of Republika Srpska.
Dodik won 48 percent of the votes in the last elections, while the other candidate, Jelena Trivic, from the opposition, won 43 percent. Republika Srpska is one of three entities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
