The head of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, has requested that a State of Natural Disaster be declared for the flooded areas in the north of the country.
The head of the Freedom Party blames the government for the bad management of cascades and high corruption in the energy sector.
Ilir Meta also requested the initiation of investigations for the leaders of the energy system institutions.
According to him, they committed serious acts of corruption and did not notify the institutions and citizens in order to protect themselves from floods.
According to Meta, the situation with the floods could have been avoided if the government would stop importing energy and produce it locally.
