Lawyer Spartak Ngjela said in an interview for Euronews Albania that Americans want to fight corruption in Albania, as they consider the alliance with our country necessary for the region where we are located.

Ngjela said that 97% of Albanians are pro-American and this is another factor that drives the USA to be interested in our country.

“What is the purpose of the American policy against Albanian corruption? Have you lost your mind? Why are they so determined to go all the way? The alliance with Albania is essential for the area. They brought you into NATO without any soldiers. Our interest is very great and theirs is great. Their interest would not be so great if it did not turn out that 97% of Albanians are pro-American”, he said.

During the conversation, Ngjela called the December 6 protest an anti-European movement. “When you are a non-grata, you are not strong”, he said while commenting on Sali Berisha.
