Where will the opposition protest take place on December 6?

This is the main dilemma of Albanian politics in recent days. The Democratic Party has announced that citizens will gather again in front of the Prime Minister’s Office on December 6.

But even this Thursday, the police leaders communicated to the representatives of the Democratic Party that the development of the protest in that part of the boulevard will not be possible.

But even this last warning of the police did not stop Berisha, who expressed his determination for the December 6 protest.

“European leaders are not like Edi Rama, European leaders are leaders elected by the free vote of their citizens and they know that the rule of law, freedoms and rights of citizens originate from the free vote. Everything is in the hands of the protesters and the organizers, we will not let go of the boulevard”, stressed Berisha.

Rama also commented on the protest, who stated that no security standards will be negotiated for the summit.

“As for security measures, they are not negotiated with anyone. They are security measures that are established, based on all the standards and rules established by the European Council itself, wherever activities take place they have standard measures, they are not a matter of opinions, thoughts, discussions”, underlined Rama.

In the opposition protest on December 6, some of the PD’s allied parties have confirmed their participation, but stressing that they will come to the square against the government and not against the Summit.
