Moderator Erla Mehilli said in an interview for Euronews Albania that the opposition protest on December 6, on the same day when the leaders of the European Union and those of the Western Balkans will gather in Tirana for the summit, will serve Edi Rama in the end.

“I have the impression that Edi Rama, knowing his rhetoric, will use this protest to remind internationals who are the ones organizing this protest, here is Sali Berisha, the non-grata, running the protest. I only hope that the protest will be peaceful and not turn into a boomerang for the opposition,” said Mehilli.

According to her, there will be no incidents because it is not in the interest of the opposition to do so. 

Mehilli also said that in addition to the institutions that are responsible for controlling the protest, the burden for any incident falls directly on the organizer, that is, Sali Berisha.

Mehilli added that above all she doubts that there will be a high number of protesters.
