The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, at the press conference after the EU-Western Balkans summit, congratulated Albania for hosting and organizing today’s summit while emphasizing the EU’s support for the region.

“We want to face not only the challenges that come from the war but also the consequences that come in the energy sector. We face these challenges together, reflecting everything we do in the EU in the Western Balkans. The package for the energy sector is divided into two parts. 500 million euros for the budget, help for families, another 500 million euros in support for the infrastructure for the energy of the future”, said Von der Leyen.
