Odeta Barbullushi, an advisor to Prime Minister Edi Rama, said that the message of the EU-Western Balkans summit that was held on December 6 in Tirana, was that all the countries of the region should be at the same table.

She said this in an interview for Euronews Albania, where she was asked who was the one that convinced the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, to participate in the summit, since the latter had initially refused to come to Tirana, stating that no Serbian officials would be present in Tirana on that day.

Barbullushi further emphasized that if a country was missing from this summit, it would be a great loss for them.

“I don’t know who convinced Vucic, but I do know that the message of the Summit was that all the countries of the region should be at the table and it would be a great loss for the country that would not be at this first summit organized in the region”- she said.
