The average salary in Albania in September was ALL 61,600.

A year ago, it was ALL 56,400.

The annual growth of 9.2% turns out to be greater than inflation, which was 8.1% in September.

So according to INSTAT’s calculations, salaries have increased more than prices.

In the private sector, the growth is greater.

This is for two reasons, due to the increase in the minimum wage and the efforts of employers to keep employees at work.

This is seen in sectors such as agriculture, trade, construction and industry, where employees are receiving an average of 5,700 ALL more than last year every month.

So, if the general salary increase is 9%, in these sectors it reaches 16%. But, by the end of the year, the average wage is expected to mark another progressive increase, as minimum wage workers and some other categories in the state have benefited from salary increases of up to 7%.
