Ervin Gjonaj, a journalist in Great Britain revealed on Euronews Albania’s ‘NOW’, details regarding the tragedy that happened in the English Channel, where 4 illegal migrants lost their lives after the dinghy they were traveling to Britain sank.

He indicated that the state in Great Britain is very reserved and does not provide any information about the nationality or identity of the survivors, but they’ve learned that one of them requested an Albanian language translator at the hospital, which was made possible.

“A survivor asked for an Albanian language translator, so he was described as an Albanian. It is thought to be only 1, but there may have been others who spoke English. The Ministry of Interior does not provide any details that the condition of the survivors is critical. Tomorrow, it is expected that the Secretary of the Interior, Breveman, will report on this matter to the parliament”, said the journalist.
