Journalist Ilir Babaramo said on Euronews Albania’s “Now with Erla Mehilli” what according to him is going on behind the scenes with the conflict between Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and US ambassador Yuri Kim.

“I believe that Rama will win the battle, but we can’t know what will happen in the end. Tomorrow the battle will be won by Rama (I’m referring here to the election of the new leader of SPAK), the candidate supported by the US ambassador does not get more than 3 votes, but the war is another thing altogether,” explained Babaramo.

Former Socialist MP, Ervin Bushati intervened by saying that there is no Rama-Kim conflict and that something of the kind has only been fabricated in the news recently by voices of the opposition – an argument that Babaramo, however, didn’t see as valid.
