Lawyer Spartak Ngjela says that if the Special Prosecutor’s Office (SPAK) will not arrest the senior officials involved in corruption, then the military will intervene, as there is no other way left.

In an interview for Euronews Albania, Ngjela said that the US cannot allow corruption in Albania any longer, because they consider us an allied country.

“The people are looking forward to their revenge against the thieves. They have robbed them, insulted them, and forced them to emigrate with their children and parents. All these have created a vindictive accumulation within them, or even a reactive phenomenon against those who have put them in this state. Starting from this and if SPAK starts the attack on anti-corruption, of these big ‘sharks’ who have robbed the people, there will immediately be a new value in Albanian morality, a new trust in the Albanian state will take shape and society will begin to free itself internally from those hostages of the past. So, will SPAK do this? Let me just tell you one thing, either SPAK will do it, or the military force will do it, there is no other way. Undoubtedly, it will go there because those who are running it, have this method. How will they allow for corruption in a country that is their ally”, he claimed.
