The country’s economy grew by 4% in the summer period.
Tourism and construction were the main sectors of gross domestic product growth at this level, followed by the real estate market.
The large number of tourists who chose the Albanian beaches in the hot months also boosted consumption.
Spending increased by nearly 8% compared to last summer.
Construction, as one of the main sources of recovery, also expanded by nearly 11% in the third quarter. In the construction boom, the real estate market also stimulated the growth of the local economy.
On the other hand, extractive industry, electricity, taxes and education did not make a positive contribution. Meanwhile, agriculture, which carries the main weight of the economy, had a slight increase of 0.2%.
