The chairman of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ramush Haradinaj, declared that the institutions of Kosovo cannot set deadlines for KFOR to remove the barricades in the north.

Through a conference for the press, Haradinaj also put the blame on Kosovo institutions for what according to him were reckless actions that have ‘worsened the situation in the north’.

“The situation in the north is becoming more and more serious and complicated, the warmongering platform of Vucic and his people installed in the north crosses all red lines. He must urgently withdraw his men from the north and order the removal of the barricades and return to the negotiating table. He cannot challenge Kosovo which has been guaranteed peace. The logic of using military means to create a stronger position for the mutual agreement in relation to mutual recognition, in relation to Kosovo, has been a closed chapter since 1999.

NATO’s peacekeeping mission, KFOR in Kosovo, is not a party, therefore it cannot be considered as such. No deadlines or conditions can be imposed on KFOR. Their mission in Kosovo is clear and pure as tears. The missions in Kosovo are neither Washington nor Brussels, they are allies of peace and security in Kosovo, and the prime minister must give up his opposing and threatening rhetoric towards them”, stressed Haradinaj.
