America is engulfed these days by the biggest snowstorm in recent years.
Stories have been shared all over social media regarding how people are coping with the below-freezing temperatures, but this has also been a chance for them to start bonding with each other more than ever before in order to get through this as easily as possible.
Such is also the case of an Albanian immigrant, who helped 3 Americans that were stuck in a traffic jam.
The man is Enea Bushati. He helped to get the family’s car – a mother and two daughters – out of a canal, where they had been stuck in for more than 6 hours.
In an interview for Euronews Albania, Enea Bushati confessed that she had seen the American family stuck in a canal while moving with his truck and he had not hesitated for a moment to come to their aid, offering them water and food.
In addition, he also said that the American family had offered him money after helping them, but he had categorically refused.
“I didn’t do it for any specific purpose, they offered me payment, but I refused, saying that I didn’t do it for any monetary value, but I did it because I felt good doing it and I would do it for anyone in need”, said Bushati.
