The prefect of the Korça district, Nertil Jole, reacted after the publication of a news story by Euronews Albania on December 31, in which the difficult living conditions of a family of 8, in the village of Panarit, came to light.

Through a post on social media, Jole says that taking impetus from this story, a new house will be built for this family from scratch, as he underlined that the financing for this was provided about a month ago by a foreign donor, but also with the help of a private entity in Korca.

Among other things, the prefect announced that the possibility is being considered for the family to move into the new home for a few months to another apartment in the village, until the new apartment is finished.

“Getting an impetus from the story covered by Euronews television on December 31, in the village of Panarit in Korca, where the conditions in which a family of 8 members lives was reflected, I want to give the good news that thanks to the efforts of the institution of the District Prefect, about a month ago we secured financing from a foreign donor and together with the help of a private entity in Korca, we will build from scratch the apartment for 5 children, their parents and their grandmother. The project was carried out by engineers of the Regional Directorate of ARRSH, and the works are planned to start in March or April, as soon as the winter season ends,” – read the announcment.
