The letter of the 27-year-old woman, Donatela Hodo, who killed herself after only 4 months in a prison in Verona, has been published.

She had sent a letter to her favorite TV host Maria de Filippi before she killed herself, in hopes that the letter would reach her and possibly help her recover from something Donatella was suffering from.

But, she had mixed up the address and the envelope was returned without ever being opened.

It was the father of the deceased, Novruz Hodo, who recently made her letter public. 

In the letter, among other things, she wrote: “Maria, I need you. Please help me, give me a chance. I can do a lot and above all I have found the will to live again, to make up for the lost years and not hold myself with my own hands”.

The letter was written on October 10, 2020 and Donatela ended her life 1 year and 11 months after.
