Freedom Party MP Petrit Vasili has accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of deceiving the general public when he talked about his administration’s achievements in agriculture and the increase in exports.

Through a post on Facebook, Vasili said that “Rama lied eightfold and from 2.1% he made a ‘slight’ increase with his school pencil to 17%. Earlier today, Rama posted a status on Facebook, where he said that agricultural exports have increased according to his arithmetics by 17% in financial value. Yes, even the last person on earth knows that the prices of agricultural products have increased. Let’s refer to the World Bank’s price index, which says that the price index for agricultural products excluding wheat has increased by 14.9%. That said, real average export growth is at best 17%-14.9% = 2.1%. (Reference from the well-known economist Mrs. Irena Beqiraj). So, the mountain shook and it gave birth to a little mouse! Rama lied eight times and from 2.1% he made an increase with his school pencil to a whopping 17%”, wrote Vasili on Facebook.
