Former president Bamir Topi commented on the developments within the Democratic Party in the past year.

In an interview for Euronews Albania, Topi said that in 2022, DP experienced great turbulence that caused severe damage to the party’s inner structure.

According to the former president, even though only a few days have passed from 2023, DP is at the peak of turbulence and uncertainty leading up to the May 14 election, which is also an important political test that it will have to face.

“Elections have been decreed, which are also a political test that finds the DP perverted and with severe damages to its inner structures. There can be no function when there is no structure. The parallel structures show that this is the lowest historical point for the DP and because of that, I feel deep regret”, said Topi.
