The National Institute of Public Health in Kosovo has called on citizens to wear masks against Covid-19 when indoors.

The appeal of health authorities comes at a time when the beginning of 2023 has marked an increase in the number of new cases of coronavirus in Kosovo.

Citizens are also urged to get vaccinated and to respect social distancing and hygiene measures against Covid-19.

“The Ministry of Health and the IKSHPK recommend citizens that the increase in cases of COVID-19 should also require preventive measures, therefore they should be careful in implementing preventive measures against contagious diseases by implementing the government’s decisions on the matter like wearing masks in all closed spaces, keeping a safe distance, maintaining personal hygiene, applying hand sanitizers in all public and private spaces and get vaccinated against COVID-19”, reads the IKSHPK announcement.
