The Eurosocialist Youth Forum celebrates today its 31st anniversary.
During an activity held in the palace of congresses, the mayor of Tirana and at the same time the political leader of the district, Erion Veliaj declared that the youth of FRESSH make up 1/3 of the Municipal Council of Tirana.
“We will continue to have a quota in the Municipal Councils for the votes of our citizens to make decisions and to be where the future of our cities is determined”, said Veliaj.
During his speech, Veliaj didn’t leave his opponent unscathed either.
“My invitation to you today is to talk to those who do not think like us. We are young, we have a life, a playful old man cannot hold us hostage, a backward policy cannot block the city. The future belongs to young boys and girls, and FRESSH is the most open organization”, said Veliaj.
While the speaker of parliament, Lindita Nikolla, said that young people will continue to make a difference.
“Don’t stop knocking on every door, talking about how many things have been done, but how much will await us in the future, with work, work and only work”, said Nikolla.
On this 31st birthday of FRESSH, Prime Minister Edi Rama was absent.
