Journalist Daut Dauti stated that the negative perception of Albanians still exists in Britain as much as some tabloids continue to write about it.

In an interview for Euronews Albania, he emphasized that, among other things, many newspapers have shown prudence regarding Albanians, presenting it as a problem of a section of a society.

“The negative perception unfortunately still exists for Albanians, but now it depends on which media you read and watch. Many newspapers have been cautious about this topic, they have tried not to present it as a problem that all Albanians have, but as a problem of a section of a society and this is unfortunately true.

It is social media or tabloids that are read the most, and in these media, there are no good opinions about Albanians. They continue to publish such articles” – said the journalist.

It depends on which people you work with in Great Britain, if you work with those of the middle class and those of the upper class, there is a good opinion about Albanians, he added.

He further emphasized that people in Great Britain understand that not only Albanians but all communities have within themselves groups that are not likable.

“I don’t believe that in general there is a negative perception of Albanians, compared to the war that is being waged in the media” – he emphasized, among other things.
