Democratic Mp Ervin Salianji declared that he is ready to leave his mandate in Parliament if this would serve the unification of the Democratic Party.
In a statement to the press, Salianji said that taking the post of head of the Parliamentary Group could be a solution for unification, if other MPs consider it so.
“All options are under discussion, I didn’t say that. I said that any kind of form will be discussed and a certain conclusion will be reached to unite the DP. Whatever the opinion of the majority will be, this is the option I proposed. But I have said that not only do I take responsibility in a moment of crisis and difficulty that the DP may be going through, but I am ready and willing, if necessary, not only to take responsibility but also to give up on my responsibility and my mandate as MP if that means that the DP would unite. I think that any kind of option is possible, the important thing is that the country has an opposition”, he emphasized.
