Prime Minister Edi Rama declared that after 30 days, Albanians will be able to travel to China without a visa.

Rama made the announcement on social media, where he also published the photo taken when the agreement was signed by the deputy foreign minister, Megi Fino, and the Chinese ambassador in Tirana, Zhou Ding.

“After 30 days, China opens visa-free for Albanians”, wrote Rama on Instagram.

A few weeks ago, Albania and China decided on the mutual waiver of visas for state officials of both countries.

The decision was approved in principle by the Council of Ministers, as a proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

After this decision, the officials of Albania and China will be able to move freely during any period of the year, without the need for a visa. Although Albania has stayed away from Chinese investments, the political relations between the two countries have maintained positive progress.
