The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, met with the special envoy of Great Britain for the Western Balkans, Stuart Pich.
Vucic informed Pich about Serbia’s position regarding the current situation in the region, especially in Kosovo, writes Euronews Serbia.
“I emphasized that Serbia, as always until now, remains sincerely committed to maintaining peace in the region, as evidenced by the numerous initiatives of regional integration, of which our country is the initiator”, he emphasized.
Vucic stated that Serbia is committed to maintaining peace and stability in Kosovo, which it has shown in crisis situations caused by the unilateral movements of Prishtina.
According to him, Belgrade is ready to continue the dialogue with Prishtina, in order to reach a compromise solution, in which the key point is the security of the Serbs in Kosovo.
He also emphasized the necessity of respecting and implementing previously signed agreements, such as the Association, which according to Vucic is a key issue that Serbia isn’t willing to give up on.
