Journalist Eni Ferhati said during ‘NOW with Erla Mehilli’ on Euronews Albania that at the end of this month or in February, arrests of high-ranking officials are expected for several large cases.
Ferhati said that SPAK has registered dozens of files that include former prime ministers, former MPs and current officials.
“Based on the criminal offenses registered by SPAK, there are former prime ministers, former MPs, and current officials. There are files detailing cases of abuse with public tenders, which make up 40-50 % of the cases that were reported by the companies that lost in the tenders. It is expected that this month or even in February, for some very large casefiles, we will also have arrests. Files such as sterilization, but also others for which SPAK has completed all deadlines and there is no longer any justification. SPAK should deal with these incumbents, not only the former officials”, said the journalist.
