The European Union’s special envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue described the meeting he held with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti this Friday in Prishtina, as not easy.

In a statement to the media after the meeting that lasted about two hours, Lajcak said that a better understanding of the opportunity offered by the Franco-German plan is expected.

“The purpose of this meeting with Prime Minister Kurti is to discuss the proposal that we presented to him in September and December. We were more than two hours with the prime minister and this shows that the meeting was long and not easy, but it was very open and honest. It is too early to make a dramatic statement because as you know we are in the middle of the mission and will continue to Belgrade and there is not much to say. We expected a better understanding of the opportunity offered by the proposal and that the potential of this proposal will be used, and we will continue to work on this”, he emphasized.
