The Minister of Defense, Niko Peleshi, says that there has been a significant improvement in the situation in the country, which was created during the past few days by the bad weather.

Through an announcement on social media, Peleshi said that there are currently no houses underwater in Shkoder and Lezhe.

Among other things, he announced that work is being done to unblock the Boge-Theth, Qafe Thore-Theth, and Dushaj-Lekbibaj axis.

“In the entire territory of the country, there has been a significant improvement in the situation that was created during these past few days by the bad weather. There are no houses underwater in Shkoder and Lezhe, but the civil emergency forces, assisted by the FA operatives, are standing by the residents in the areas where there has been a request for help.

They are working with snowplows from contracting firms and ARRSH to unblock some roads in the north of the country, in Boge-Theth, Qafe Thore-Theth, Dushaj-Lekbibaj and salting several roads where there is snow. Traffic is free on all national road axes. Aid has been sent from the State Reserves, such as food, blankets, and umbrellas for the families in the 4 municipalities affected by the January 15 earthquake in the Dibra district,” Peleshi wrote on Facebook.
