Freedom Party MP Monika Kryemadhi commented from the Euronews Albania studio on the way her husband Ilir Meta is leading the opposition.

Kryemadhi said that Meta showed during his time as president that he was able to foresee all the consequences that would come as a result of abandoning local elections and relinquishing mandates.

Kryemadhi also emphasized that Meta is a politician who knows the Albanian political reality very well, knows the opponents and can make a very strong opposition even by himself.

“I am not the one to judge Mr. Meta’s opposition. The facts showed that his strong resistance or the permanent opposition he made to the boycott of local elections or the relinquishing of mandates, showed that he was right, showed that he is a visionary and that he knows politics very well. The experience of running various institutions means that he not only got to know the Albanian realities and the political behavior of various individuals, such as Mr. Rama or Mr. Basha, but what characterizes him as a citizen made him find the consequences that he wants, they came next. What he said came out, despite the fact that we could be euphoric about ‘burning’ the mandates. I think he is one of the people who makes the opposition stronger even when he is alone”, said Kryemadhi
