Journalist Artan Hoxha spoke during Euronews Albania’s ‘NOW with Erla Mehilli’ on what he was questioned about for 2 hours and 30 minutes by the Tirana Police regarding what he called new evidence that might lead to ultimately resolving the murders during the January 21 protest close to 12 years ago.

Hoxha clarified that it is not a question of a new proceeding since the old case of January 21 has not been closed yet, since the murder of Hekuran Deda and Aleks Nika are still without a convicted perpetrator.

“The January 21 video that I published was not evidence, but an indication that led the Prosecution to the evidence, which was Agim Llupo’s shell in the body of Ziver Veiz. In the specific case of audio orders, it is not evidence, it is an indication to go to the evidence. The fact that we found it after 12 years, it’s not that I had it in my pocket and took it out.

I knew that politics would use it, but today the government finally remembered to file a report, I have nothing to do with these reports, I only dealt with the family members of Aleks Nika, who have the right to know who killed their son”, said Hoxha.
