Mark Nila, the uncle of Aleks Nika, who died on January 21, 2011, met with the head of SPAK Altin Dumani earlier today. 

In an interview for Euronews Albania, he said that they no longer trust the Prosecutor’s Office of Tirana and requested that he meet Dumani regarding the murder of his nephew.

According to him, Dumani told him that they will take Nika’s file to SPAK if it meets all the necessary criteria.

“At our request, SPAK hosted us. We no longer trust the Prosecutor’s Office of Tirana. We were told that all procedures will be followed to prove the clauses so that the case is taken into the hands of SPAK. The Prosecutor’s Office of Tirana has been holding the file for 12 years and has not given us any information about the case. He said that if the criteria are met that the file should be taken by SPAK, we won’t hesitate” – said Mark Nikla, Aleks Nika’s uncle.
