The head of the DP Sali Berisha said that he has repeatedly denied the Russian file, as he was asked if he will address Lulzim Basha with a public apology if it turns out that the latter is not part of the Russian lobbying.

In a statement to the press, he said, among other things, that he asked Basha to declare the source of the money received years ago.

“If there is anyone who denied the Russian file in a powerful and repeated way to the US ambassador and envoy, it was Sali Berisha. For four years I have rejected Russian lobbying. In April 2022, Lulzim Basha was declared to have put his hands deep into Russian pockets, meanwhile, Engjell Agaci intervened and blocked the file. I received messages from our compatriots in the USA where they informed me that they did not give a single penny to “Muzi” but said we signed to help the DP. After I received the information, I declared that the source of the money could be Russian and I asked Basha to declare the source of the money,” said Berisha.
