The chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, joined the protesters in front of the Parliament building.
Meta himself called for participation in the protest and was not seen at its beginning, however, the former president decided to come about 1 hour later.
A police officer was injured during the clash with the Democratic Party protesters.
The journalist of Euronews Albania, Eni Ferhati, said that the molotov cocktail and the smoke bombs thrown at the police officers caught one of the officers near the head, causing minor injuries.
The attacker was taken to the hospital by ambulance, while the police got ready for “plan B”.
The protest announced by the DP in front of the Parliament building comes after the one held on February 11, called by the chief democrat Sali Berisha, where the head of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, also participated. Berisha demands the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama after the publication of the scandal with the former FBI official, Charles McGonigal
