Journalist Poli Hoxha said that the head of the government Edi Rama has not yet been declared “non grata” just because he is prime minister.

In an interview for Euronews Albania, referring to the McGonigal affair, Hoxha emphasized that Rama is in the same trench as the leader of the DP Sali Berisha.

Among other things, he added that Rama is accused in Washington of corruption and undermining democracy, the same as Berisha.

“Edi Rama, just because he is prime minister, is not “Non Grata” from the USA. In the file in Washington, Rama is accused of corruption and undermining democracy. Rama has entered a trench with Berisha in relation to the USA. Being in this trench, they are together. What I am understanding is that they want to show the West that they have stability in hand. They remember that they will play this game, that we both have the stability in Albania in our hands at a time when Russia has outstretched hands” – he emphasized.
