This Monday in Tirana, a protest took place in front of the Prosecutor’s Office after the death of 22-year-old Kenyan Joy Aoko.

A small group of people had gathered in search of justice for the girl who was barbarically raped and thrown from the second floor of the apartment where she lived on “Pandeli Evangjeli” street in Tirana.

The 22-year-old passed away in Kenya as the news was confirmed by her mother.

Joy left the trauma hospital in Tirana, in a “semi-comatose” state on January 25, 2023.

So far, no one has been arrested in connection with the case, but the police claimed that they are in pursuit of the perpetrators.
