Journalist Aleksandar Cipa says that there are two options regarding the pending case in court, regarding the seal of the Democratic Party.
In an interview for Euronews Albania, Cipa said that the first option is for Enkelejd Alibeaj to receive the seal, and if this happens, former chief democrat, Lulzim Basha will return to active politics.
According to him, the second option is for Sali Berisha to keep the seal, however, Cipa added that the former prime minister will have difficulty keeping the party united.
“I think there are two options, which have been officially confirmed by the parties according to their interest.
One option is to recognize the right to own the logo and seal from Mr. Alibeaj’s vector. If this happens, I think that the silent group, including Mr. Basha, will have a new moment of manifestation and articulation and their political action, which will inevitably be different from that of Mr. Berisha.
The second option, in my point of view, is if Mr. Berisha will be given this opportunity, again the problem will be open, because Mr. Berisha will find it difficult to achieve the objective of victory. Factors within the party and other outer factors will be a reason why the victory claimed by Mr. Berisha will not be achieved,” he emphasized.
