Tomorrow, the majority and the opposition will face off in a marathon 24-hour plenary session on the McGonigal case.

The two groups within the Democratic Party will face Prime Minister Edi Rama in a plenary session on Thursday for the accusations brought about his relationship with the former FBI official, Charles McGonigal, who is being investigated in America.

The group led by Sali Berisha has requested the development of a motion with a debate without a time limit. Their request was signed by 19 deputies. For this, the majority stated that they will be available 24 hours a day.

On the other hand, the democratic parliamentary group led by Enkelejd Alibeaj has requested holding an interpellation on the “Mcgonigal” issue. The interview with the head of the government will be conducted by MP Gazment Bardhi. Another request of Sali Berisha’s group was submitted to the assembly. 13 MPs have sent 13 questions to Prime Minister Rama to further explain his connections and the accusations against the former FBI official.

In total, there are 1440 minutes, where the socialist parliamentary group spends most of the time with 750 minutes, followed by the democratic parliamentary group with 350 minutes. In the session, Sali Berisha and the other MPs expelled from the PD parliamentary group have 10 minutes available for discussions.
