The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, will pay an official visit to NATO on March 7.

The Head of State will have a meeting with the Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, with whom he will discuss strategic and security developments in NATO’s eastern wing and the Western Balkans.

“The topic of discussion will be the continuation of support for Ukraine; Albania’s commitment and contribution to NATO, as well as expectations for the next NATO Summit, which will be held in Vilnius, Lithuania, in July of this year. In this official visit, President Begaj will be accompanied by the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania, Brigadier General Arben Kingji and members of his cabinet,” the announcement of the Presidency states.

This is the first official visit to NATO by President Begaj in the capacity of the President of the Republic.
