To get to know the Albanian woman from antiquity to the present day, through clothes, objects, documents and history.

This is the mission of the “Women’s Museum” in Tirana that attracts the attention of many young people. Euronews Albania also visited this museum, where history speaks in every object.

“This is the same service that through art, culture, creativity and through history we go to a better recognition of the role of the woman in the life of the Albanian woman, which unfortunately we do not know. This museum aims to go to women’s rights and history, but through the object,” said journalist Elsa Ballauri.

The woman in this museum travels back in time from antiquity, but the period that seems to leave the most imprint is the dictatorship. As we pass from one room to another, we touch at every corner a bit of the reality of that time, when we see the bottles in the milk line, or the cooking gas furnace in the toilet of the house.

Every object in the “Women’s Museum” speaks, and as such they arouse the curiosity of young people, the next visitors.

“We are from the “Teesthings” organization and in the wake of all the activities, we chose to be at the women’s museum to learn about the history of Albanian women from the period of communism to the present day. We are impressed with how the works are exhibited women’s clothing, costume design, items from the communist period, women’s involvement in the war,” said some visitors.
