The envoy of the European Union for the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, Miroslav Lajcak, on Thursday started the two-day visit to Prishtina, which aims to prepare for the new round of dialogue and for the plan for the implementation of the European proposal for the normalization of relations with Serbia.
During his visit to Prishtina, Lajcak first met with the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani. According to the press release, Osmani said during the meeting that the implementation plan of the European proposal for the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia should be in the spirit of “inviolability of sovereignty, territorial integrity, constitutionality and functionality of the state of Kosovo”.
Osmani also said that Kosovo is constructive in the dialogue with Serbia and remains engaged in this process, “while reiterating that the final word on an agreement should be given by the Assembly of Kosovo in accordance with the constitutional procedures”, it was said in the announcement of the Presidency.
