Kreshnik Spahiu said that today the Democratic Party does not exist.

Invited to speak for Euronews Albania, Spahiu said that according to the law of the Republic of Albania, this party cannot exist as it is in chaos and has three chairmen.

“I think that the Democratic Party does not exist today. The Central Election Commission must evaluate all parties. The law on political parties clearly defines how a party should function and how it should be organized. A political group cannot function in chaos and anarchy because it is considered an illegal activity. The Democratic Party has three presidents, Sali Berisha, Enkeled Alibeaj, Lulzim Basha. A party with three presidents, a party with four assemblies, a party with five parliamentary groups. This is not allowed by the law of the Republic of Albania that they voted for”, said Kreshnik Spahiu, adding that the political parties entering the elections must be equal and start from scratch.
