The member of the leadership of the DP, Aldo Bumçi, said in an interview for Euronews Albania that Albania is currently going through dark days of democracy.

“These are dark days for democracy in Albania. This is a shameful story that has been going on for a year and a half, unsuccessfully, but the fact that there is persistence in this story of shame to hit the opposition is a bell not only for the Democrats, there is no place here to rub their hands supporters of the Socialist Party because the opposition is the only institution that guarantees democracy,” said Bumçi.

He clarified that there can be no free media or institutions when the opposition is attacked.
