Prime Minister Rama declared this Monday that private enterprise by saving for salaries is causing the loss of human capital.

Presenting Tirana’s development strategy, Rama said that private enterprise cannot continue to pay employees less than their productivity, or transfer a part of the salary to their hand and a part to the bank.

“Private enterprise saving salaries and leaving last those who should be first. Wages, has opened a hole for itself that if we do not hurry today, it will become unsealable. A hole which comes as a result of the loss of human capital.”

The enterprise cannot continue to underpay its employees relative to its own productivity. Private enterprises should do everything for their employees.

What has begun to be felt today is only the last alarm; loss of human resources. What was a problem until yesterday, today risks turning into an incurable disease. The problem was that there were jobs but no professionals, today this risks to return because there are no workers”, said Prime Minister Edi Rama.
