“The agreement is closed, we are working with the appendix for its implementation”, said the high representative of the European Union for foreign policy, referring to the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.
In a joint conference with Prime Minister Rama, Josep Borell said that this agreement will put Pristina and Belgrade on a more stable and secure basis.
“Regarding the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, on February 27 we had a high-level meeting in Brussels that I organized together with President Vucic and Prime Minister Kurti. We agreed that no further discussions were needed on the European Union’s proposal. We consider the language of this agreement to be closed. This agreement brings a lot of hope for the normalization of relations between Pristina and Belgrade. But the agreement is one thing and how and when this agreement is implemented is another thing. There have been agreements in the past that have sometimes not been implemented. Currently, the agreement has been agreed, but we are working on its implementation. This implementation is an appendix that is part of the agreement itself which will oblige the parties to ensure and have the same understanding as to terms and modalities. This agreement puts Kosovo and Serbia closer on a more stable basis and ensures that the dialogue will continue with the dialogue of inclusiveness and will go beyond crisis management”, said the high representative of the European Union Josep Borell.
