The President of Montenegro, Milo Djukanovic, dissolved the parliament today. Djukanovic’s decision comes after the mandate for the formation of the new government, Miodrag Lekic, failed to form a majority within the deadline, writes Vijesti.
Even Dritan Abazovic tried again to form a new government, in which the FD and the Democrats would participate, but there was not enough support for this, as the minority MPs are against it. Early parliamentary elections can be held in late May or early June.
Meanwhile, on March 19, the presidential elections will take place in Montenegro. There are 7 candidates in the race, including the current president Milo Djukanovic.
