The Montenegrin Prime Minister, Dritan Abazovic, has made an open invitation for Montenegro to welcome the next round of talks between Kosovo and Serbia.
Abazovic made the invitation in an interview for The Pavlovic Today, where he emphasized that if there will be a new round of talks between Kosovo and Serbia, they should be held on the territory of Montenegro.
“Personally, I would like to extend my offer, if there is any new round of talks between Kosovo and Serbia, to host them in Montenegro. As a nation that wants to see that our neighboring countries reach a satisfactory agreement, we are prepared to contribute and support the process of normalization of relations between Serbia and Kosovo. We have excellent relations with all our neighboring countries and are eager to help in any way we can, including logistical support,” he asserted.
Abazovic expressed support for the European plan, which aims to normalize relations between Pristina and Belgrade.
“We are not part of the dialogue, but I personally believe that the European proposal represents a good solution that is profitable for both Serbia and Kosovo. This is the path the region should follow. The path of normalization is the right one for the region as a first step and in the end, once all the criteria are met, membership in the European Union as the final goal for the entire region,” he said.
