The Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca, said that the US Department of State has guaranteed that “no Association or any other mechanism can be formed that violates the sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity and constitutional order of the Republic of Kosovo”.

This is what he said after the meeting he had with the US special envoy for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, during his official visit to the United States of America.

Konjufca wrote on Facebook that in the meeting with Escobar they discussed the current political developments in the country and in the region, the dialogue process and the agreement reached in Ohrid, as well as the next steps for the full normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia. On February 27 in Brussels, Kosovo and Serbia agreed on the Agreement towards the normalization of relations between the states, or as it is otherwise known as the European proposal. On March 18, the parties agreed in Ohrid on the annex to the implementation of this agreement.
