Journalist Flogert Muça says that the two MPs of the Democratic Party, Gazment Bardhi and Jorida Tabaku, who support the commanding mayor, Enkelejd Alibeajn, have requested that there be no candidates of their own in 3 municipalities.

In an interview for Euronews Albania, Muca stated that they requested that the official PD not have candidates in Shkodër, Durrës, Elbasan and that only those from the primaries compete.

“What I have noticed, having information from the inside when the names were organized and discussed, the doctor’s ‘dolphins’ within the Alibeaj group, have requested three municipalities to prevent the official DP from entering. So, they searched for Shkodra, Durrës and Elbasan. They did not raise their hand, they imposed a condition. If they did not vote, the names were not approved. The condition was for these 3 municipalities, because here there is a kind of difference in percentage, where there may be an opportunity, Shkodra more, the other two less. Why did they fight for the seal? I gave the stamp to the doctor. Mr. Bardhi, who thought so, why did he fight for the seal? To get the stamp and not enter the election, means to annihilate the Democratic Party. Then the doctor is right that they are destroying the Democratic Party”, emphasized Flogert Muça.
