Prime Minister Rama today has presented the Farming Portal which according to the Prime Minister, will provide farmers with real-time information on markets prices, food analyses, active support schemes and financing instruments.

“This portal will become like a friend who will tell you the right thing about the production, marketing and safety of food products in Albania”, said Prime Minister Rama, adding that farmers can now be informed from home.

“All those who will use the farmer’s portal will gain independence to have a real-time database of all rural development. When we made the first digital application, there were many who said it was a mistake, because farmers would not know how to use the technology, the result was that there were many applications. And there are more applications from those who are far away in rural zones because they can be informed from home.

You have seen the farmers throwing apples, cherries and other food on the road. Everyone thinks that the state is the one to blame. But we have to give an answer to the question why in the same country, in a short distance, some people throw apples on the street, while others sell apples with high prices. Where is the difference? They change because the first group is uninformed and they always bring the same thing.

We have seen difficult situations for farmers, this portal makes a full transparency of prices and every morning, without leaving home, while drinking coffee at home they can open the portal to see how the prices are, and not leave any possibility for price changes, in this way we regulate the market prices”, said Prime Minister Rama.
