Serbian List Party, which is the largest party of Serbs in Kosovo, called on Serbs from the north of the country to “completely boycott” the local elections, scheduled this Sunday, April 23.

In the statement it is said that this party calls on “all the Serbian people” to remain calm on Sunday and not to fall for the “provocations of the regime of the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti”, whose only goal is to “expel Serbs from the north”.

In the statement, it is also said that the prime minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, “wants to conquer the municipalities of the north of Kosovo” through the “occupying mayors”.

For none of these claims, Serbian List did not provide any evidence to support them.

“Serbs should look down on all those who plan to come out and participate in this illegal election process, which is against the interests of the Serbian people,” said Serbian List.

On Sunday, April 23, early local elections will be held in the municipalities of: North Mitrovica, Zubin Potok, Zveçan and Leposaviq, all inhabited by Serb’s majorities.

Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has called on citizens with the right of vote, to vote on these elections.
